2027 Nissan Rogue Hybrid
2027 Nissan Rogue Hybrid
Nissan has brought its e-POWER hybrid technology to Canada for the first time, and the all-new 2027 Nissan Rogue Hybrid is the vehicle that carries it. A 1.5 L turbocharged engine produces electricity for a battery, and two electric motors drive the front and rear wheels, so all-wheel drive is standard. Total system output is 225 horsepower. Nissan estimates the SR grade at 6.5 L/100 km on the highway and 6.2 combined. The Rogue Hybrid also gets a new look with Japanese-inspired details, a cabin with physical controls and Zero Gravity seats, and an upgraded ProPILOT Assist. On long Highway 43 drives across the Peace Region, the system refuels at any gas station with no plug required. Grande Prairie Nissan expects the SR in fall 2026 in limited quantities, and SV, SV Premium and Platinum models in early 2027.
What's new on the 2027 Nissan Rogue Hybrid?
Exterior
Nissan's designers set out to give the Rogue Hybrid a modern, mature look that also hints at the electric drive underneath. The front shows a hexagonal honeycomb grille with integrated LED headlights, and equipped models add signature running lamps arranged in a two-three pattern. That pattern references ni and san in Japanese, and it appears in other spots around the vehicle. Creases start low on the body and lead the eye upward, linking the cabin to the fenders. The design team used very little chrome, preferring flush, clean surfaces throughout.
The SUV measures 4,650 mm long and 1,850 mm wide, with a 2,705 mm wheelbase and up to 215 mm (8.5 in) of ground clearance. SV models ride on 18-inch wheels with all-season tires, and SR and Platinum use 19-inch machine-finished wheels. Behind the rear doors, the C-pillar forms a triangle inspired by Mount Fuji. Tail lights use fine patterning that grows toward the outer edges, with a full LED tail light signature on SR and Platinum. Paint choices include Aurora Dune Pearl, Alpine Metallic and Horizon Blue Pearl Metallic, the last of which shimmers red-yellow in sunlight.
Interior
Inside, the Rogue Hybrid keeps the most-used controls physical. Dedicated buttons manage cabin temperature, fan speed, airflow direction and seat heating, and the volume control is a scroll wheel. The layout surrounds occupants with soft-touch materials and stitching, and glossy piano black is used sparingly. Digital displays sit cleanly within the dash, with 12.3-inch screens on SV and 14.3-inch screens on SR and Platinum. A 64-colour ambient lighting feature, new to Rogue, is available, and the under-console storage space gets a wider opening than in the previous Rogue.
Seating for five includes Zero Gravity seats in the front and both rear outboard positions, a design meant to reduce fatigue on long trips. The front row offers 1,054 mm of legroom, and second-row passengers get 920 mm plus a reclining seatback and rear climate vents. Ventilated front seats are offered in a Rogue for the first time, on the Platinum grade. The rear doors open nearly 90 degrees, and five LATCH anchors allow a car seat in the centre spot. Luggage space measures 880.7 L with seats up and 1,866.1 L folded, with room for three large suitcases standing upright.
Technology
Entertainment
All trims include wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, SiriusXM, Bluetooth and voice recognition. SR and Platinum add a 14.3-inch touchscreen with Google built-in, including Google Maps, the Play Store and Google Gemini, along with a Wi-Fi hotspot trial. Charging is covered by two front USB-C ports, two rear charge-only USB-C ports and an available 15-watt Qi2 magnetic wireless charger, upgraded to dual chargers on Platinum. Platinum gets the 10-speaker Bose system.
Safety
Intelligent Cruise Control and ProPILOT Assist are standard, both updated with a new front radar and a front camera that sees 20% wider. The cruise system offers four following distances and spots slowing vehicles 33% sooner than before. SR and Platinum add Hands-off Traffic Jam Support and Auto Lane Change for divided highways. Standard safety features include Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian, Cyclist and Intersection Assist, Blind Spot Warning and Intervention, Lane Departure Warning, Intelligent Lane Intervention, post-collision auto-hazard and the new Lead Car Departure Notification. Front and rear parking sensors and Rear Automatic Braking are on SR and Platinum.
Powertrain
The front electric motor produces 202 horsepower and 243 lb-ft of torque, and the rear motor adds 134 horsepower and 144 lb-ft. Combined system output is 225 horsepower. Standard all-wheel drive continuously balances torque between front and rear for traction and stability, and can lightly brake inside wheels in corners. Drivers can select Standard, Eco, Sport, Off-Road, Snow or Personal modes. The e-Pedal feature allows one-pedal driving to a full stop, and Smooth Stop softens braking at the end of a stop. Towing is rated at 680 kg (1,500 lbs) when properly equipped.
